The adhesive-based edgefolding processes mainly differentiate in the used adhesives - some with the need of adhesive activation others without.
With adhesive activation: FRIMO edgefolding systems permit heat activation of the adhesive in the following technical configurations:
- Hot air chanel system
- for the activation of the glue in the edgefolding area and for the heating of decorative material - Heated sliders
- for heating through the decorative material into the boning joint - Infrared heating
- via infrared flash radiators for heating the edgefolding area
Without adhesive activation: This process uses either contact adhesives or hot-melt adhesives that are still active and applied shortly before edgefolding. In this case, temperature controlled sliders are used to apply the bonding force.
