2006 Progress requires changes. The three new business divisions – plastic joining technology, automation, extended PUR competence – have been founded in 2006, only to present FRIMO’s dynamic development and strategy which the Group adopted in order to meet the globally growing customer and market demands. It is FRIMO’s demand as a technology leader and driver of innovations to supply, also in the future, intelligent and competitive solutions with a wide range of technologies from one single source.
With the opening of the new technology center in Aschaffenburg, which offers the complete portfolio of mixing and metering machines, plants and PUR manufacturing / processing solu-tions, the FRIMO Group strengthens the more than 40 years of experience and the core com-petence in PUR sector.
2004 Seven "Oskars" for FRIMO: Companies of the FRIMO Group received the Automotive-Division-Awards dof the SPE in not less than seven categories, thereof 5 first places and two second. The first price in the category "Body Interior" goes to the BMW Group for the Rolls Royce cockpit. At the same time for these performances FRIMO also received the Grand Award of the SPE Automotive-Division. The BMW-Group received the highest score for this project in the complete automotive section. For the blend and the top cover made of PUR-RIM - compact material for the BMW 6er cabrio, year 2004, the FRIMO location in Lotte received the first price for the mother model in the category "Body Exterior". In the categroy "Body Interior" FRIMO received two further second prices. By the merger of FRIMO and Heidel the worldwide largest provider of production technologies for the automotive interior is generated. With 14 locations and an annual turnover of 200 Million Euro the FRIMO Group is one of the top-partner in automotive industry.
2001 Within 6 years the FRIMO Group receives the SPE Automotive-Division-Award already for the third time - this time for the tooling and machinery for the production of the instrument panel of the new BMW 7er. To create more synergies for the customers FRIMO merges the companies FRIMO USA Inc. and Lyon Industries & Design Inc. to one companye FRIMO Inc. in Brighton (MI).
1999 FRIMO Hungary is extended to 4 locations by the takeover of the Oroszlànyi Gèpjavìtò Kft in Oroszlànyi. Even on the US market the dynamic growth of FRIMO is non-braked. FRIMO enlarges its presence by the takeover of the Lyon Industries & Design Inc. in Brighton (MI).
The worldwide activities of the FRIMO Group are bundled: the FRIMO Group GmbH & Co. KG is founded as Holding with its headquarter in Lotte.
1998 Obligated to success. Only three years after the first award the FRIMO Group again receives the SPE Automotive-Division-Award. This time the award is aimed at the prototypes and serial tools for the cockpit BMW 3er. To meet the growing demands of the automotive industry as a complete system partner - the FRIMO Control Systems GmbH in Ainring close to Freilassing is build and the company SLP of Schmidt + Link Werkzeugbau GmbH is integrated in the FRIMO Group.
1995 The international success of FRIMO even in Germany leads to lasting growth. At the same time two new companies are build. The FRIMO VAP GmbH close to Landshut takes over the tasks of a service-station for tooling and machinery. The product portfolio is enlarged by the takeover of the Anton Huber GmbH & Co. KG in Freilassing. Now this company trades under the name FRIMO Freilassing GmbH.
The work done by FRIMO is not only honoured by the automotive manufacturers but even awarded by international experts. The FRIMO Group receives the SPE Automotive-Division-Award in demand. This award was assigned for the production of the tooling for the instrument panel BMW 5.
1993 The decision for Hungary was the right one. The high quality demands of the international automotive manufacturer are fulfilled by qualified staff. The lasting competitiveness of FRIMO is influenced by high economics. Therefore further investements have been done and a fixture construction company was build in Mòr. Today this modern plant is the general office of FRIMO Hungary.
1991 The East opens up. FRIMO notices at an early stage the capabilities and expands its company's activities to the south east European market. In form of the taking over of an aluminum foundry in Budapest, now trading under the name of FRIMO Hungary Kft., FRIMO had the chance to establish very fast. The presence had been intensified by the foundation of an own model making company in Dunaharaszti.
1990 Longest FRIMO became to an international size. To take care of our customers on-site - FRIMO decided to found an american location FRIMO-USA Inc. (today namend as FRIMO Inc.) in Wixom, close to Detroit Michigan.
1969 The company growth. Therefore they need more and more space. After several moves within the Osnabrueck area the company settled and is still situated at their site Lotte.
1962 The foundation is placed for the successful history of FRIMO: Founding of the company as Fritsche Moellmann GmbH & Co. KG in Bohmte (county Osnabrück in Lower Saxony). This young company made quickly it's name as a supplier offoam tools for the PUR-processind and model building by the high quality of its innovatice products.
